I've been so busy celebrating all the awesome state initiatives that did pass last night that I'm just now tuning into the state of California's Prop 37, the proposed genetically modified ingredients labeling scheme. With about 47 percent of the vote, the measure failed by six percentage points. But even if you support GMO labeling, Prop 37's defeat might be a good thing.
