Some of you will no dought dissagree and have other thoughts on this but you only have to open your eyes and look to see that what he is saying is mostly right.

That could be interpreted many different ways. I agree with a lot he says in that video, but I also agree with things a lot of people who have extreme outlooks on a variety of different things do. Doesn't mean they're still not loony though and worth keeping distance in association with them regardless if there is truth to what they say or not.

What's his name? The video link doesn't offer anything really so I can't even do a Google search unless I'm missing something.
 
Well, if the doorknob and bird are negative associations with him I haven't seen anything too crazy about him. He sounds like the type of guy that would be a guest on Bill Maher.

I agree with him very much on what he had to say in the video posted in the begining of this thread. I do believe that the Muslim religion needs to be regarded much more by the actions of the people who follow it regardless of how the religion is "supposed" to be. Profiling is very useful and yes, it often comes with abuse. As do many other beneficial things. I'm not purely against the Muslim religion either, if we were going through the Crusades in this time and day I would be just as much against the mindset of Christians and their respect for other cultures and people. The world situation with the middle east is such a disgusting thing currently, as it is in many other places of the world.
 
He's doing what all comedians do. Observe something absurd in the real world, then blow it up to larger than life proportions, turn it into a generalisation and hang a lantern on it.
 
He speaks a lot of sense.Its does seem rather absurd in having representatives from Saudi sitting on a human rights council.

As I understand it he is one of the founding members of the EDL.

I think that i have told you some of this before but for old times sake i will repeat myself.
My lady partner that i have been with for seven years now is a Muslim, myself i have no religious beliefs, sometimes people ask her why are you with Gary and she says because he does not beat or hit me talk to me like crap and he treats me with respect and that is why she loves and stays with me.
She has hated Arabs all her life because of the way that the men treat women, you might think that that guy in the vid is a comedian but i have already heard this from a middle eastern none comedian.
Today in Australia is Saturday i am having a BBQ at my house, kebabs, no pig, why? because two of the people coming are Muslim's and i respect their reasons for not eating pig but none of them beat their women or act like some of the fanatical idiots that call themselves Muslim's and don't go on one of your little rants about some westerners are just as bad because i already know this and i don't like Christianity any better in fact i blame the English of which i was originally one and that blood runs through my veins for much of the trouble in this world.
 
That should tell you all you need to know to reject every word the man says as hate filled propaganda based on ignorance and generalisation.

And you're quite clearly accepting the fact that not everyone who can be described as a Muslim has done anything to earn the criticism he's leveling. The problem is that he isn't making that distinction in the video, you paint everyone from a particular group with one brush and things tend to go downhill once people take you seriously. You clearly don't approach things this way so why are you forwarding the cause of someone who appears to?
 
And when you hear the same thing from middle eastern Muslims what should you think then.
I have listened to Turks, Iraqis, Lebanese, Egyptians and Palestinians tell me the the exact same thing, some have reduced me to tears do you think they tell me these things for just fun.
 
I would be just as upset. But it wouldn't be to do with their faith which covers a wide variety of opinions and beliefs, it would be to do with their extremism.

That is not Islam any more than EDL is Christianity.

Look i don't agree with any extremism, if you want to be extreme in your thinking thats fine and scream and rant as much as you want but do not turn it into physical extremism i think that is what i am trying to convey in my thinking on such things.
 
That's fine, but as a result you need to define your targets. Railing against "Islam" as this gentleman does will not gain any support (other than from extremists) because you, I, Jesus and Moses know that Mr Khan running the newsagents/line managing the office/running the law firm is no more a dangerous extremist than most religious people are, nor is he any more likely to be religious.

Until this gentleman separates religious extremists from religious people he's setting up a false argument for reasons we can only speculate on and you only lend his views credence by publicising them.

narrow minded man. small minded narrow minded man. for the greater majority of muslims are not what he thinks they are. radicals in islam, like radicals in christianity or judaism, are quite alike.
