Here are the facts:

*1990 Eldorado, 4.5 V8 - 128k miles*
1. New fuel pump
2. New fuel filter
3. New cap and rotor
4: 2 new injectors (other 6 tested good)
5. New plug wires as of last summer 09
6. New spark plugs

Problem: Engine still had, when it was running 2 weeks ago with a the new stuff mentioned above, a misfire and not 100% smooth and powerful acceleration. After having dinner I drove 1/4 mile the the car dies. Dead. It will crank as if there is no spark or attempt for a firing. I've let it sit for several nights and each time I try to start it the car will fire once (as if it was starting) and crank over with no sound of trying to start. Spraying ether in the carb will make it fire and spin over. I've checked the return fuel line and there is plenty of pressure coming back.

I think that is all I can say. Has anyone had this problem or know how I can fix it?

No spark in Nashville,

Ryan
So I checked 3 of my spark plugs and those 3 have good spark. Tomorrow I'll check my injectors and see what happens. Really it has to be the injectors are not letting fuel to the cylinders. What else could it be?

Check your spark plugs and your leads if it's misfiring one of your spark plugs or leads may not be fitted correctly. Hope this helps :)

sounds like its not getting fuel... with no spark the ether would not work...

sounds like a fuel system problem. could be a weak fuel pump. thats where i would start. it it is a 1990 it probably doesnt have a carb. its probably got throttle body injection. injectors might be bad.
