nokia 7373 memory problem.?

i have just bought a nokia 7373 for my daughter with a 512 MB memory card, the phone does not seem to recognise the memory card and i cannot send anything via bluetooth, it say not enough memory to receive file, i have tried another memory card from another phone, doesnt recongnise that either. any ideas as to what the problem is, thanks.
