Nokia e63 unlock code for different career?

I just got my brother 3 phone which he gave to me before he went overseas because he had bought the iphone, anyway, I have an optus sim card and want to unlock the phone beacause its locked to 3. I've rang the 3 Care and had said to enter my number but i dont have 3. Soooo. can I just buy a 3 prepaid sim and then call to unlock or is there a better solution? please help
 
you can get the unlock code for your nokia e63 from your service provider itself. they will provide you the codes. you can unlock your phone by yourself after getting the codes. you can get the instructions to get your phone unlocked from Mobileunlockguide.com
