When I get a txt, my phone doesn't alert me.

No vibration, even though the vibrate setting is turned on.
No little 'new message' icon at the bottom of the screen.
No pop-up window that says "1 New Message".
No sound when profile is not on silent.

Now the only thing that happens is the flashing notification light on the centre button. I have to go into my inbox to check if there are any new messages, it is very annoying because it means that sometimes I take a long time to reply to people because I didn't know I got a txt.

Has this happened to anybody else? How can I fix it?

I have already tried turning the phone off and taking the battery out, but no luck.

This has happened me too!
So annoying! Have you found a way to fix it!? D:

The treshold for your inbox is 2000. When you reach that your fone automatically turn to silent mode for message alert tone. Try to lessen your inbox and it will work out fine again.

try deleting messages fromSMS inbox and check if it's working again. It seems the threshold is about 2000 messages and it starts to "silence" the sound alert notification for incoming msg.

After deleting messages to about less 2000, if you still can't get SMS alert tone playing, restart the phone and then switch the home screen theme. It should work.
