nothing shows on the moniter when the PC comes on?

ok my computer has no on/off switch so i short circuted the pins on the motherboard and everything comes on ....the fans, and i even plug up my mp3 to it so see if its on (and it is) but nothin comes on the moniter its juss a black screen ......
