Suits, The 4 Elements)? I've started writing a fantasy fiction which features four queens of the different provinces. The reason there needs to be four is because their are twelve paladin knights (one of which is the main character) and three belong to each queen. I was hoping to have a particular theme between them.
I liked the idea of the elements (because there is magic in the story), but that's been done too much, and my friend has already used playing card queens in one of here other stories along with things like the moon, sun, stars and something else.
So please if you could give me a suggestion then that would be great! Thank you!
Firstly I liked the idea below about the four precious jewels, but Sapphire, Ruby and Emerald were used as names for the Pokémon games ( I know because I'm a phanatic(sp)), so I wouldn't want to use those.
Also, Fire, Air, Water and Earth were what I meant by the four elements.
I'm sorry for being so fickle.
