Nowadays wouldn't you call the cops if the neighbor kid knocked over

your bike and damaged it severely? Just had another bad episode as part of my bad month. Neighbor kids come over playing around my house. I go inside and the kid gets on my cycle (full size motorbike about 600 pounds and not made anymore). He f-s around with it and winds up knocking it over smashing up the whole side. Then, he lies about it saying he "ran into" it on accident and knocked it over. These neighbors just moved in, and I've had this sort of thing happen many times before. Before, I never call the cops and I always got screwed over. People simply don't pay for damage they do. Well, this time I called the cops but was very nice about it. I told them I just wanted to make sure something was on a report for insurance, etc.

Well, the neighbor across the street whos little daughter was almost hit by the falling bike gets "mad" at me for calling the police?! Says it wasn't the way to "handle" it. Honestly, I could care less since he also asked why my bike was parked outside today as if he'd sue me if his kid got hurt on my property. Just wondering what y'all think about this kind of situation and what you'd do.

Oh and I know he lied because I forgot I had my cameras running. I haven't even told the parents he lied about not messing with the bike yet.
