Ok moms, help me out here....when are the best times to buy new cells phones

(during the week or weekend)? We are in the group going from Alltel to AT&T....we don't like any of our choices for replacement phones (we have BB Tours right now and LOVE them...the only BB offered without redoing a contract is a curve which is much smaller), plus we can't find any plans that we like like for how much we use our phones....so basically we are thinking about switching to Verizon after we get our new phones and before the 30 day period is up.

And what are good ways to look for great deals (like buy one get one free) on the more popular phones?

I know a lot of you probably do a lot of "deal searching" for things like this, plus I wasn't getting very far in the cell phones section, so that is why I was asking over here.
 
No company wants to give you a great deal on a phone without renewing your contract. If you switch to Verizon you will still need to sign a contract to get your new phone.

You plan to live for the next 2 years, correct? AT&T has tons of discounts and rebates on their site, some of them like $100-150 off retail when you renew your 2 year agreement.
