I live upstairs in a condo unit. My neighbors down and over one unit below me have been my neighbors for as long as I can remember Very nice folks and we chat once in a while when we pass each other. The wife smokes, the husband does not. I like to open my windows when I get up to work each morning (from home) at 6a and I can absolutely smell the smoke. My office is right next to my front door which is the closest window to the stairs that lead to the bottom of my neighbors unit. We're probably about 20-30 ft from each other.
It really bothers me but I don't know the solution here. Yes, I can close my window but don't feel I should have to. I guess she has the right to smoke outside which is what she does and I'm having a tough time deciding how to handle.
Any ideas?
