The New York Giants enter Christmas coming off a tough loss to division rival Philadelphia, but a sweet gift from defensive end Olivier Vernon ought to help with the frustration. Vernon, who signed a five-year, $85 million deal with the Giants this past offseason, gifted every member of the team, and many connected officials, a bottle of Louis XIII cognac. Retail value: $3,000 a bottle.

Vernon bought bottles for approximately 75 players, 20 coaches, and many other members of the organization. The order, according to ESPN’s Darren Rovell, was one of the largest ever received by the brand.

“I wanted to thank you for welcoming me to the Giants family and wish you a happy holiday season,” Vernon wrote in a card which he signed “OV.”
Combine this with the gift of $17,000 ATVs that the Cowboys’ Ezekiel Elliott presented his offensive linemen, and it’s truly the season of giving big in the NFC East.
