Olympics!

Anyone catch this fight?

Video here:

I don’t see how Ogogo could have won this match. He won the first round and lost the last two as well as getting two standing counts.

Seems like a "Home Decision" to me, no place for this in the Olympics.

Many, many Chinese Olympic swimmers have been caught doping over the years. When a 16-year-old girl performs like that AND has never done that well before AND comes from a country with a history of drugging up its swimmers, there are bound to be suspicions. I'm not saying she's a cheater, but it's perfectly reasonable to suspect it.

What the heck is going on with the boxing??? Did anyone else see the Japan-Azerbaijan match? The Japanese fighter knocked the other guy down half a dozen times, was never awarded the TKO, and then lost by a majority decision?? Fortunately they won the appeal but what the heck is going on?

you could probably shoot for that guys legs pretty easily so I could maybe have taken him in judo pre - 2010 :P

OK...a little help for the Yank, 'kay?

I understand this guy is the size of a small truck......thats pretty obvious.
What the hell is a "stone". Could somebody give me an idea of what a "stone" would be in pounds or kilo-s? Help?

Best Wishes,

Bruce

Karina Bryan WINS BRONZE

One Bronze and One Silver

well done GB ladies (even though BJA wondered why team GB never did well when they paired kyu grades with senior grades in their open and closed comps, making it hard for new people and easy matches for those with experience)

Well done Team GB with 2 Judo medals!!
New head of Judo stepping in, hopefully it will shake things up a bit.

All medal winners are always tested after, it's standard olympic procedure regardless of WR/OR probably the best way to do it to save alienating any particular athlete.

A local lass (with a lass that studied at Durham) got a gold in rowing Third in the medal table now, just have to keep ticking over (I doubt we'll keep up with China and USA) and with Jessica Ennis doing rather well in the heptathlon we should be in for a good day
