Omg Freaking Out About My Educational Future?

okay so im in the 8th grade and im registering for high school this week and next and i dnt have many choices and i know that the counselor is going to ask me what occupation i would like to up hold after high school or college. I would like to know what i want to be later in life but the fact is...i don't. and its hard b/c if i know what im going to be then i can take the high school classes i need to look good on my college transcript and then the college will know that i know what i want to become and i know how to get there and everything. but i dnt and i do not know what to do....HELP.
 
It's perfectly okay not to know your future career in 8th grade. Many college students don't know, and many people change careers after college. This is not wrong, so you are in good company.

Talk about the classes that you tend to like best, the classes that you do best in, and those for which you sometimes need to work a little harder. Talk about the hobbies you enjoy most. Talk about anything you particularly have wanted to try but never had a chance to. Let your parents put in their two cents about their goals for your future as well. A good guidance counselor will help distill all this to a selection of courses that you probably will find will work for you.

omg i had the same problem like wtf are those stupid teachers putting so much pressure on you for soooo early. i dont even care i just want to live.
 
Keep calm. Even if you do choose an occupation now, you're probably going to change it anyway. Don't worry too crazy until about sophmore year. Besides, as a freshmen you won't be able to choose most of your classes to focus on your career.
 
You're over reacting. Don't worry about that stuff until Junior or Senior year, enjoy yourself now. Trust me, colleges do not care about what you're taking Freshman and Sophomore year, just take your basic classes and don't fail anything.
 
Jesus Christ...tell your councilor to suck it. People in college have no idea what the fuck they want out of life. You aren't even in high school. Choose classes you like and go to a liberal arts college. You won't die unless you kill yourself, I don't suggest that. Be a kid have fun and don't freak.
