Black Powder, Red Earth is yet another sci-fi FPS. With two exceptions. First thing that sets this one apart is that it was the subject of a GameSpot series, which chronicled Echelon Software's struggle to get backing for their idea. Second thing is an emphasis on the game's community, with clans forming part of the actual gameworld.
Above, the first teaser trailer. Which does little BUT tease, setting the scene and little else. But since the scene reminds me of Kim Stanley Robinson's Mars Trilogy, which spun me right round baby right round, I might keep a closer eye on this. Luke Plunkett
