Is it possible to safely overclock my laptop using clockgen ?

Its an Acer aspire 6530G, with an AMD Turion 64 x2 2ghz.With 4gb ram and ATI HD 3650 graphics.

I agree, generally not a good idea.

Laptops usually run hotter than a regular Desktop computer. When you overclock the CPU, the cpu will run faster, and thus, hotter. If you overclock it too much (which is truly, a sensitive operation) you can burn out something, such as, cpu, motherboard, etc. While burning out a cpu or motherboard on a desktop means replacing that specific part, on a laptop, that means you need to start looking for a new computer.
