Just wondering what my fellow pagans will put on their 2011 census form under "religion".
I'm a little nervous to put Wiccan or Pagan (general distrust of the government more than anything else) but i was wondering what other people thought?
Because in America the census is every 10 years... and it was last year. There will not be a 2011
And it doesn't ask your religion on the regular form.
If it did, I'd put Pagan so they could get an accurate estimate. I don't have any concern at all about it being used for anything other than demographics. I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist.
I've been Wiccan over 20 years and have never hesitated to put Pagan down on any form that asks religious affiliations. And no one has ever so much as sneezed at me funny for it.
Yours is a religion which is regularly ignored in our government. I think you should all report as Wiccan. There is power in numbers and the more people the govenment recognises as wiccan the more influence you can have.
