Parallel Kingdoms for Android wont locate me?

Okay so there's this game for Android called Parallel Kingdoms. After you sign up, the app looks for you on GPS. Mine perfectly works, I even use Wi-Fi, and Google Maps can locate me, but still, Parallel Kingdom fails to locate me, and once again I have to do the registering process over and over but it never works. Please help. I hear its a kickass game.
I have a Droid Hero (Eris version)
My phone is rooted.
