Actually I know EXACTLY which bit you refer to - so a bet would not be fair.

AFTER a test protocol was completed there wa SAID to be the odd trick by Randi...and that is all. There is no footage of it and in teh actual experiements Randi was not part of the process.

7:06 Randi says he went into a field room and taped up the windows so they could create a secrete code. Which would be fine. But then at 7:53 Randi admits he was doing slight of hand tricks. It just doesn't look good. You can't do that when you're about to trash some guys reputation and career.

Have to chime in here and say, no offence wolfie but, after watching that part of the program, your objections to Randi seem weak. The conjuring tricks had nothing to do with the test and looked to be nothing more than simply some spontaneous light entertainment.

Randi has devoted much of his life to exposing charlatans. Including shameless con-artists like Peter Popoff. People like Randi provide a much-needed public criticism of a lot of the nonsense that can, and sometimes does, ruin people's lives.

Just so I can be sure I understand you - it seems that your objection to Randi is that he was behaving in an unprofessional way. By doing the conjuring tricks, he was being disrespectful to the person who he was about to discredit?

You're forgetting that the people he was in the process of trying to destroy were idiots, cranks and charlatans. He probably did the magic tricks just to make the whole thing even funnier, with awesome results.

I just saw the vid posted about thought transmission, but the sound on this PC (@work) is awful so I can't really hear it. But! I did an experiment once myself. I sat down with my sister-in-law once and asked her to guess what image I was thinking of. She said "taking a poop" which was correct. Now anyone who knows me could take a wild guess that's what I'm thinking at any moment of the day and be right! lol So. I did it again, and she got it right. "Riding a bicycle" she says. I nodded and I was somewhat impressed. Then she continued. She described a person on a bicycle looking down at themself pedaling. I'll be damned if that isn't the exact image (well video really!) I had in my head.
I was going to continue but my loud, chatty and wholly obnoxious mother-in-law (grrrrr) busted in and ruined the moment. She excels at that sort of thing.

My wife and I were on our honeymoon here and were sitting down to breakfast. Bed and breakfast...imagine that. But I digress. There were two there other couples and one of them spoke up. The girl (they had just got married as well and just so happens only a block from where we had...hundreds of miles away in another state...just an interesting tidbit dear reader!) described herself as "sensitive" and felt a strong presence when she entered their room. Her husband started to tell us how he saw the figure of a woman but he broke down looking scared for his life and couldn't even continue.
Then the other lady (older couple and on vacation) told this one. She said first that she was having tooth pain and that she felt like she needed to see a dentist even tho she was on vacation. While she was in her room sleeping, she woke up and saw what looked like a nurse but she was dressed in an old-fashioned uniform. She also described the room as it would have looked long ago not as it looked in the present. She also said she saw a man (not her husband) sitting on a chair nearby. She said the nurse spoke to her and told her that she was going to be all right and comforted her. She said she went back to bed and woke up later feeling very peaceful.
The owners upon hearing this said "oh you saw Ms. B." They showed us a newspaper article about the woman which had a picture of the nurse that once ran the house as some sort of asylum. The woman said "That's her!"

aikiwolfie, I worked with a QA lab once and the heads of the sections liked to break things up with a bit of laughter from time to time. If anything, after having a few laughs, everyone was more focused and more productive than they were immediately prior to the levity. I got to 3 of the 5 of the videos before I had to tend to other things, and Randi was saying that things were looking like there might be a million dollar winner and they'd be having a celebratory meal soon. But things didn't work out like that. The results were what they were. And it's not like Randi jumped up and down laughing, and yelling "In Yo Face Suckas!" to the people who'd just discredited themselves.

No in part 5 he almost has a heart attack when the Horizon program reveals it's own results. It's worth watching just for that moment.
