parents and non parents.

I dont get too offended by what people said in this thread. At the end of the day, its just beliefs.

MAPPERS have never done anything to hurt me. Not me, personally.

That's because you don't understand reality, let alone being a parent.

I'm at the grandparent stage now and have found that house music is an important part of keeping a baby quiet
A night a week is great though as its a night a week more than I saw of his father

I never posted in the thread in question and, based upon his responses in other threads, I still believe that SIB is a high school kid that is pretending to be someone else on the internet. Either that or he's the most incredibly naive and un-knowing twenty something that I've ever encountered. However, this thread is not about him, it is about Blade and her reproductive issues.

House music... I like house music. I like my baby. I like sleep.

...

This plan has a lot going for it.

It's my understanding you have cats & dogs. How do you deal with their poop? What do you do when they come over and sit on you or slobber on you?

House music, washing machines, road drills, any repetitive unpleasant noise will do.

Mitch

I'll point my newborn at this thread when he arrives then. Boo-yah...I went there.

His screaming is a repetitive, unpleasant noise. If this process were really well designed, that would loop back and make him fall asleep.

My children when they were babies, they didn't crap on my lap, they crapped in their diapers

I saw a thing saying mobiles make babies quiet because its like they're watching a bird of prey circling and it triggers some ancient instinct. I really really want that to be true.

I'm not going to contradict this and disappoint you. But humans are born with very little in the way of instinct. Our basic modes of operation are to breath, eat, sleep, poop and learn. We're born expecting culture. So if anything, a baby is fascinated by a mobile phone because it's something novel in their world view they don't understand yet.
