The other day, i had my boyfriend over for a family dinner. We had multiple guests over, but later that night, after dinner, everyone went downstairs to watch tv, except there was no more room for my boyfriend and I, so we sat on a different couch in the back. We were just cuddling, then he gave me a kiss, but i tried to stop him because thats not respectful. now my parents are mad at him and I because we were cuddling (my parents yelled at me) and they accused us of "making out" when we clearly weren't. is cuddling too much pda? so now I'm in trouble and my parents want to talk to both of us...im not letting that happen though. what do i do?! How do i tell my boyfriend myself that cuddling is too much pda?
Also, it was my sister who lied, and got us in trouble by saying we were "making out and all over each other" when we weren't =/
I don't know what to do! everyones mad at us.
we're in high school by the way.

I did the same thing and my parents were furious. It's a natural thing, because they are just overprotective. It's the first time your parents have seen something like this (probably) and they don't know how to react.

It sounds as though you have a nice relationship though. But I think it would be an even better one if your parents and his parents were involved and encouraging. So I would suggest you ask your parents why they were mad. Tell them you don't want them to lecture you or yell at you, you just want them to give their opinions. And after they do, you can state yours. It doesn't hurt to talk to your parents, it never is. You guys must be on the same page with different opinions. Talk it out, it's worth it.
