...stuff. Details inside, help!? Alright. The thing is that we have no garage and three Mazdas: My mom's Miata, a CX9, and an old, junky, white MPV that my dad uses. While the CX9 and Miata are fine cars and have no problems to speak of, the MPV always has people trying to break into it, specifically at least three times! However, we've never witnessed that happening. It's always (I, age 13, think this but have no evidence) at night. As of now, the car's pretty messed up due to the attempted break-ins. It makes a weird noise when locking/unlocking, the passenger's seat lock is weird, and the lock system got broken once but is fixed. Also it's pretty beat up-looking. Anyway, my older sister is a very good softball pitcher and my dad and her take it pretty seriously. She had a bat bag with some VERY expensive equipment in it in the car including her $300 bat. She almost always brings her stuff in the house. And the one day she left it in there, (we thought it was locked)it got stolen. Obviously, when we found out we were kinda freaked. My questions are:
-How do you reccomend we find the thieves/ locate the stolen items? Could the police help?
-How can we prevent the car from getting (attempted) robbed in the future?

Also, if it means anything to you guys, there's some weird people all the way at the end of the street. As in, weird teenagers. Do you think they could've done it? I mean, we never even talk to them but they personally freak me out. Also, my mom thinks that someone pawned the stuff for money as the bat bag and its contents was all they stole from the car out of all the junk in there. Oh, and we tried craigslist with nothing there. I would greatly appreciate anyone's answers! Thanks a bunch!
..also, i don't live in the ghetto XD...there are basically old people all over my street except for that one house i mentioned.
