...reputation ruined? I am 18 and in my last year of sixth form (practically the same thing as college) anyways when I returned to start my final year in September I returned to find I had a new science teacher, he has just graduated from university, is 22, good looking and this is his first teaching job. Well anyway I will admit that I am a hard working student and complete all of my work to a very high standard and because of this the new teacher is very impressed. Me and this teacher have developed a strong appropriate student teacher relationship as we share the same interests and basically I am the only one in my class who actually does work he gives us. I was in his lesson on Thursday and he was talking to another student who asked him why he never calls her by her name (which he does), his reply was that he does call her by her name but he only sees our group 2 times a week and he isn't very good at putting names to faces. This girl said "you know other people's names though, no wait you only know Fearne's name, she's the only person you call by name. There is obviously something going on between yous two!" and of course the rest of the class agreed with her. This really hurt me because they obviously believe I was only getting good grades because I am apparently sleeping with the teacher.

Also before this happened I was in school early one morning (I had work that needed completing for another subject) well anyway when I was walking through the school I bumped into this teacher who was walking the same way as me (he was going to the staff room) so he walked with me and we spoke (simple how are you? Etc) anyway as he got to the staff room my other science teacher opened the door and saw us talking. Later that day when my friend got into school she told me she had heard my other science teacher talking with other teachers about this teacher and how she was worried as she had seen him in the morning with an older student (me)
