I am thinking about getting a new car. Im 17 and still have my R plates so i need something that is cheap to insure. My current car does 60+ mpg but it is insurance group 4. I dont really know much about cars (though my dad is trying his hardest to persuade me not to buy either of these cars lol) They both look VERY similar, almost identical, are they built at the same factory or something??

Basically my question is - which is better? Cheaper? etc
Are there any similar cars that you would suggest? Something small, nice looking, cheap to run and insure?
Thanks

You are right about the C1 and 107 being similar. They are both built in Toyota's factory in Kolin Czechoslovakia alongside the Aygo. They are in fact identical in all respects except for badging and trim with some having different options and the Aygo has a slightly different rear light cluster mounting.
The good news is that the C1 by far the cheaper of the three and Citroen dealers are susceptible to haggling. The best way is to visit at least three Citroen dealers to get the best deal. It can be hard work and you have to be impervious to spiel but it does pay off. Go to www.drivethedeal.com. Select your version raise the quotation and photograph the screen (you can't print it). Use this to negotiate your deal locally. Most dealers will play ball if they think you are serious.
p.s. The C1 is a brilliant car. 62.8 mpg and group 1 insurance. Fun to drive too.
