Hi my name is Sam.
I haven't had this bike very long. Its a peugeot speedfight 2 50cc air cooled 2004 model.
When I first started it up, it seemed to run fine apart from a little misfire and it wouldn't tick over on its own.
I cleaned the air filter and changed the spark plug for a new one. When i replaced the spark plug there was an NGK plug BR8HS in there. I checked NGK's product finder and all speedfight 2's should run BR7HS, which is what i put in and it sparks fine. I don't know if this would make a difference?
The bike still didn't tick over so i turned the screw on the side of the carb which i thought was a idle screw?? it then ticked over fine but ran a little rich on oil.
Since then it has been gargling, spluttering under throttle and then cutting out until now.. it wont start at all.
It appears the exhaust is leaking where it meets the engine, which ill fix, but i just noticed that it was dripping oil out the leak.
What does this mean?
