I currently have the LG Ally from Verizon Wireless (VZW) I got the phone around September, 2010 and I had it insured in case anything were to happen. I kinda dropped it in water the other day, and it isnt working properly. The representitive from the Verizon store (the one i spoke to when i purchased it) said if anything happened, i could take it back to the store and get it replaced for no charge. I went by a month ago with my sister when she got another phone, and we saw the same representative. He asked if everything was fine and i said yes. He said that if anything happened to my phone, i would most likley get a different phone for replacement (since they dont make the Ally anymore) then he also said if i could get a phone of my choice if i paid the price difference. Im unsure what he ment by that. I would like to replace the Ally with the Samsung Continuum. Am i allowed to do that? and if i am, what exactly do i have to do and will I still be able to do that if I went to a different Verizon store with different reps? Thanks!
