photoshop cs3 image please help?

hey
i was wondering how she done these two images the effect and the blending or what was done.

I can't say exactly how she did it but I can tell you how I would. I'd start with the size picture you want, fill it with a pastel (pink/purple) color (turn the opacity way down). Then layer on all my photos. Then again, with the opacity set way low, grab my grudge brush and start painting over the photos. You could also take the dodge tool and highlight some of the strokes. When I got to the point where I liked what I saw, I would merge all the layers and have a photo pretty much like the one you showed up top. Does that help?
