Macho Camacho has died. After being shot in Puerto Rico, Macho Camacho was first said to be in serious but stable condition. However, his condition worsened and further tests pointed to the boxing legend being brain dead. After his family decided to pull the plug, Macho Camacho died shortly afterwards.
The 50-year-old Macho Camacho was never afraid. In the ring, he was almost impossible to hurt. He could survive beatings that no other boxer could survive. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to survive a gun shot that entered his chin and went into his shoulder.
Macho Camacho will be remembered as a boxing phenom who never could get away from the streets he grew up on.
