Pinning Internet Explorer to Task Bar?

Somehow my internet explorer icon was pulled off of my task bar (the little menu at the bottom of my screen).
Does anyone know how to get it back there? I like my desktop to be as free as possible and I like the accessibility of it on there.
You know I tried dragging it back...and it was locked when it got pulled off! I have no clue what happened. But I am sure of it.
Ok...I'm an idiot i guess. I tried again and got it to stick to the toolbar. I had to unlock it first to get it back...weird!
 
Just drag it back in the task bar. The icon will appear there again.

You are talking about the QuickLaunch toolbar. It is just a set of shortcuts you can add to at any time

Easiest way to restore it is to drag the icon from your start button menus back onto the quick launch toolbar.

You could check the recycle bin first to see if it is in there. If it is it will restore back there.

If you want to prevent it disappearing again right click on the task bar and select to lock it.
