Places in north Carolina for vacation?

Ok so my family and three other families go on vacation every year to fripp island, south Carolina in July! But since one of the families moved to Boston they can't travel tht far so we all decided on north Carolina. I've never been here for vacation. What are some islands that are like fripp island?? Theres golf, it's not a commercial island, it's very well kept and clean, there's palm Trees, it's sunny and nice, there's lots of families with young children and teenagers, there's three public pools, one resturaunt on island, and there's activites organized for teenagers at night and stuff! It's really safe for running and walking in the mornings and it's safe enough for parents to not care if me and the other teens ride around the island in the golf cart. Pleaseee give me suggestions of places like this! It really sux tht we can't go go fripp so were looking for Places like it. Thanks! <3
