Places to go for a photoshoot (outdoors)?

I'm entering a photography competition but I don't know where to do it.
I live in New Zealand and the photo's that I'll be taking are going to be outdoors.
Any places you'd recommend , like beach , bush , ect ?

if u can find a place with a old and ruusty car u can go take a lot of nice pics there. this is my moms web page, u wil get a lot of ideas from there hope it helps!

I use the beach a lot for portraiture, because the sand acts as a lovely big reflector and bounces back a nice golden light. Choose your time of day carefully - late afternoon, when the sun is low will be more flattering than midday when the shadows are short and your model's eye sockets will look like panda eyes (unless you use fill flash).

You can do a good shoot anywhere though!

Assuming your shooting landscape then anywhere with spectacular scenery, which I'm under the impression that NZ has no short supply of. Don't forget to include foreground interest set against some stunning backdrop.
If portraiture then anywhere nice will do but make sure to focus only on the subject, as backgrounds can be a huge distraction if left in focus
