Plasma Vizio 50" heard pop now screen image is really muted?

My plasma tv was working fine, then one day I heard a pop and now the image is really faint and hard to see. There is still an image on the screen it is just hard to see and it is a little grainy looking now. Any suggestions on what this might be and how to fix it? I am good with electronics but never worked with plasma tv technology.
