ple can someone tell me which is better and faster between internet explorer 6

and 7 for windows XP? I have an old windows XP desktop computer and right now i have internet explorer 6 on it which kind of runs slow. It sometimes take for ever for an internet explorer page to pop up when i click a fresh page and some other times the whole computer just freezes because of it. Most website i try to open tell me to download internet explorer 7 including facebook chart. Do you think that internet explorer 7 will be faster because it is a newer version or it might crash my computer totally?
