hey there
just wondering if some one who knows about this stuff can help me out???plzzz
here is my story)... i was driving the car around town yesterday and noticed that takeing off from a couple of sets of traffic lights that the car was reving and was slipping to get in to gear so i drove to a friends about 10 mins away and he checked the tranny fluid and it was fairly low, so he topped it back up and i went for a little drive to see if it was better, at first it didnt seem any better but after about 1/12 driving later it started to get alittle bit better the revs have gone down and it changes gear alittle bit better but is still alittle off what it normal is, its just has abit more of a rev now and slow to engadge in gears, as i said has gotten better but have i done damage to the gear box?? will it keep getting better? if not what do i need to have done to fix? i checked the tranny oil cause i heard that if it smells burnt its not a good sign, but it doesnt seem to smell burnt or anything, please help me im very worried as the car coast me alot of money and is a 2005 nissian xtrail auto..any ideas would be great??? thanks
