Turbine. A bit confused? Please is it important to get a 12v DC generator with low or High RPM to run a Wind Turbine. A bit confused??

Which is Important, the RPM or Watt of the generator?

I presume with a 12v DC generator, I do not need a charge controller for the batteries?
 
The speed of a 12V generator doesn't really matter. The output, measured in Watts is more important.

Of course you WILL need a charge controller, otherwise you may end up cooking (overcharging) your batteries on windy days.

Also the output of the generator will need to be around 13 volts to give the batteries a decent charge - they'll always be under voltage if you charge them with 12 volts.
