Pokemon Red Mystery Dungeon GBA -- HELP!?

Okay, so, I play the Red Mystery Dungeon, but I play it on my DS (cuz my GBA got crushed while my van was being crushed into a little cube. I totally forgot to take it out of the glove box ... :( )

ANYWAY, getting off subject here. So, having only the red mystery dungeon for a game that I can play, I all of a sudden got addicted to it! But, I'm stuck. I try to enter codes in the Wonder Mail section on the main page, but some of the letters/symbols are red, and I can't use them! like, half of the letters/symbols I can use are like, red. How do I fix this?

And also, I want like, big muscle for my rescue team. I want big guys. I already have a Lairon, Charizard, Shelgon, and Dragonair ... but, I need a Rydon, Salamance, Aggron, Dragonite, Onix, and Tryanitar ... but I already know that if I want those evolved types, I need to evolve them myself. So, here are my questions:

1. Do any of those pokemon need any certain stone or ribbon?
2. I really want a Pupitar, but whenever I find him in the Frosty Forest, he'll NEVER join my team. Is there some certain kind of trick to it? I have his friend area, but he still won't join.
3. Could you maybe suggest more big type of pokemon?
4. and how can I fix the un-useable letters for the Wonder Mail?

Sorry but lol at the first thing. Anyways, here's my answers.

1.The only one of those pokemon that need an item in order to evolve is Onix. His evolution is Steelix and in order to evolve it you need the items Link Cable and Metal Coat (coz in the games you need to trade Onix holding a metal coat) Metal Coat is found in the Southern Cavern on the 50th floor (The last floor) Onix are also found on that floor so you can recruit one and grab a metal coat (or two or maybe even five! the number of metal coats that appear on the floor is random but i'm pretty sure the minimum is one) Oh and to unlock the Southern Cavern you need to have the friend area Rock Cave and i think you need to finish the game.

2.Pupitar is REALLY (I should add another REALLY coz i have only done it once and i've played over 280 hours of the game but i have Blue Rescue Team) hard to recruit so i suggest getting a Larvitar from the Southern Cavern. It's found on floors 16-26 and you need the friend area Mt. Cleft to recruit it.

3.More 'big' pokemon.
-Kangaskhan (You might not classify it as 'big' but i love Kangaskhan so i'm putting it in)
-Snorlax (Howling Forest floors 11-14 and you need to run around for a while coz they are rare and you may only encounter one or two in one floor) Friend Area: Energetic Forest
-Wailord. if you want big then here's the biggest! Wailmer is found in the Silver Trench (Floors 41-50 ) and Far Off Sea (Floors 41-50) To unlock the silver trench you need to clear the Stormy Sea and the Pitfall Valley and recruit all of the Legendary Birds then you have to talk to Alakazam in pokemon square.

4. You can't fix the unuseable (red) letters. The white ones are the only ones you can use and you can't type in whatever and expect a wonder mail (although if you're EXTREMELY lucky you might get one) coz you need a Wonder Mail Generator to make them or actual codes. I only know of one and it doesn't work. Only the wonder mail generator for Mystery Dungeon 2 (explorers of time and darkness) works at the moment which sucks coz i can't make anymore wonder mails for Mystery Dungeon Blue and Red. I have some from ages ago but they're only ones that unlock the pokemon that need to be unlocked (Porygon, Roselia, Lapras, Mantine etc,) and ones that reward you with important items, Joy Seeds (Mystery Dungeons version of Rare Candy) Blue Gummi (To give to Feebas so it can evolve into Milotic. You can also give ot other gummi's but they don't work as well) and the Tight Belt. The Tight belt is probably the best hold item coz it stops your hunger going down in dungeons so you don't need to carry apples and gummis anymore but it won't work if it becomes sticky so stay away from sticky traps. If you want some codes then message me or whatever you do to talk.
