I was around 7 or 8. Probably a little past due. I had bent up the training wheels for the last time and my dad basically said it's now or never.

I was 4 when I learned. No training wheels, my parents were too poor.

I was around 5 (definitely around 4-6). My oldest sister taught me. I still remember part of it, 15 years later. I lived in a little town and all the kids rode bikes early on because we were allowed to go pretty much anywhere on our own.
