Pop Up disappeared when CD/DVD/USB Flash Drive inserted?

a pop up used to come up every time i inserted a CD or DVD or USB flash drive asking how i want to open the disc (either using program, open folder or do nothing) (it was a long list) but for some reason it has disappeared. Im running XP SP2.

Any help would be graciously recieved
