i have Omron Portable ECG EKG Handheld HCG-801 Monitor. Is it accurate or the same like in the hospital or holter monitor, i mean the ecg strip result no the machine? I usually use it when i feel something wrong with my heart and then print it out and bring it to the doctor. I was just wondering if it can detect every single wrong thing and doctor can read it. (i have heart rhythm problem)
typing correction: Is it accurate or the same like in the hospital or holter monito? i mean the ecg strip result, not the machine.
not only to detect heart rhythm but also the type of rhythm problem(ventricular, atrial, etc) the cause and other possible heart issues

For just a heart rhythm problem, yes, this could at least give your doctor an idea, a baseline on whats going on. It's the same as a holter I would assume, but not as in depth as a hospital one would be. A hospital or cardiologist would do whats called a 12-lead with multiple electrodes about your chest, arms, and legs, It provides 12 different views of your heart. Your portable machine probably only has 3-5 electrodes and would not provide as many views as a 12-lead would.
