positive opk? when is it time? and sperm travel?

so i had a positive opk this morning when do you think i will ovulate? is it possible to ovulate straight away??
Also how fast does sperm get thru the cervix? im sick of laying on my back for 10 mins after

Well you have a 24 hour window and sperm can survive for 5 days inside a women but i always say 2-3. If its gonna happen it will, regardless of how long you lay on your back lol. When your fertile the cervix is low making it easier for sperm to get in anyway. Good luck

Once you get a positive OPK that means your going to ovulate between 24 to 48 hours. I would baby dance right away and do so for the next few days. As for how fast the sperm can get thru your cervix that is really different for everyone. It all depends on your partners sperm and your cervical mucus. Good luck!

You do NOT need to lay down for any length of time (however, 5 minutes is plenty long if you feel the desire to 'help things along')...there is a 'pool' at the top of the vagina, near the cervix, where any sperm who do NOT go through the cervix right away stay and hang around and start swimming later.

It's been known for sperm to reach the fallopian tubes within a few minutes!

12-24 hours. even though its a pain in the butt even doctors say to lie down with legs slightly raised to increase chances of conception. i have also read mens sperm count can be higher in the morning. you should lie flat after intercourse and raise your legs to 30 degrees it will help the cervical and vaginal muscles to relax and facilitates the movement of cervical mucus. if your man has enough sperm count and you have the right consistency of cervical mucus, this method will greatly help to increase your chances of getting pregnant.
