Power locks not working from remote OR inside switch?

2002 Olds Alero... My locks do not work even from the inside lock all switch. If my car door is open when I try it I get the dinging as though my key was in. I asked a garage and they said they never seen this before and had no idea what it could be. Any ideas?
Windows work fine.
