I recently bought a Chevy cavalier z24 year 2000, I bought it in May replaced the oil and spark plugs. A month later my steering wheel seemed a little hard and noisey and open the front and saw it had no power steering, so I bought prestone power steering fluid stop squeal, but a week later it started to leak after I parked it. The leak is appearing on drivers side near the wheel. I look at the hose there is no wet spot. I later bought Gold Eagle/14 oz. power steering sealer, I think it made it worse, now I get a puddlle. I think the leak is coming near the rack location of the power steering system. Tomorrow I'm going to buy the lucas power steering fluid, I'm hoping that will solve the problem and not cause me to replace it instead. I look at the GM manual and it says to use there approved fluid from a dealer, I doubt that will work. Also the power steering box where you put fluid says SAE next to the cap. Does anybody know any recommended power steering fluid that my work my car.
