I'm pregnant and I want to know if it's harmful to the baby if I only smell cigarette smoke, but I'm not even around the smoker and directly inhaling the fumes? Or, by being able to smell it am I inhaling the toxic chemicals? I want to keep myself in the safest environments for my baby :/ Thanks for your answers :)
The reason I ask this is because my boyfriend lives in an apartment where the tenants down below us smoke and I can smell it through an open window, if that makes any difference..

ANYTHING that you inhale your baby breathes in! So anything that you smell your baby can breathe in! You breathe for that baby! I would just stay away from it altogether!

If you can smell it, your inhailing it. Because your pregnant, do not go into a car, house or building where people have been smoking because the chemicals stay in the fabric for a very long time, in the source I've put in two websites for you. One is Canadian and the other America, hope it helps and best of luck to you with your pregnancy
