Printer Communication is Not Available?

I have a Dell Laptop and a Lexmark Printer. Whenever I want to print something, it always says "Printer Communication is Unavailable" and I have to restart my laptop to print. I've already uninstalled and re-installed the program, and it is still having the same problem. What is going on and can anyone help? Thank you!
