i own a 320GB freeagent go.
i connected it to a friends computer and it got infected with viruses and Trojans from his computer. so i scanned the entire hard drive using avast and deleted the infected the infected files(which happened automatically). but the trojans had infected the disk drives and all the links to my files were lost. not the hard drive shows about 150GB occupied, but none of the backup files can be seen. can the drive be re- formatted to clean it of all data so that i can backup my files again?
what should i do next? please help.
