problems connecting hdmi cable from computer to lg tv?!?

i have a forest HDMI cord that is connected in to the computer and the hdmi outlet in the lg tv, i click input on the tv and click on hdmi 1 which the cord is in, then it says no signal and then the lg screeensaver comes on...? whats going on...?! everyone who i ask says it should work...?! thanks..
 
I have an LG tv too and I have the same issue. I have a monster HDMI cable and it was working fine now it doesnt even read it. I don't know if it is my tv, the cable or my computer.
