I have a very bad oil leak in my 1988 chevy s-10 pickup 2wd with a v-6 2.8L engine in it. I stripped the valve covers and the intake off and replaced the intake gasket and both valve cover gaskets. Put it all back together and it is still leaking. I checked the oil pan and it is not leaking. I also checked my oil sending unit and its not leaking. I have no clue but if you could help me were an oil leak could be please help me.
With the valve covers there fine because the leak is comeing from the back of the engine and it is leaking about 1 gallon of oil every 3-4 days. So i really don't see how it could be a valve cover.
