Prove If lim_(n->infinity) a_n = L and the function f is continuous at L,

Look at the former rather than the latter part of this equation.
 
then lim_(n->infinity) f(a_n) = f(L)? In plain words, this theorem says that if we apply a continuous function to the terms of a convergent sequence, the result is also convergent.
If anyone could help me get started/direct me in the correct path that would be awesome.
