My ps2 will no longer boot god of war witch is dual layer and will not boot any dvd movie that's dual layer, the dvd just spins a few inches four times then spins abnormally. You can hear the laser jerking and falling. And don't tell me to put the top down I have the 2 switches modded and the spring that stops the disk taken out. First I thought read issue with all dual layer but that would only make sense if the laser has two beams, right? I wondered if I stressed the lens out by playing burnt games, makes Sense cus they loaded slow and the data patterns were offset. So now from further examination I think its no read issue but a boot issue, it really is a big difference. I need some with my fellow intellect on this one. I have a v14 slime line ps2. I know many people have the same problem that I have, but they were never properly answered. Oh and could the system actually realize that I have the switches clogged Sense they would be normaly by the pegs in the cover I dont relize how it possibly could tell the two apart.
