Ok, I backed up my game saves to a portable HDD,
Installed a new Samsung 250GBji 2.5" SATA HDD 5400rpm 8mb cache that i formatted to FAT32 as required. Turned on the system to get a message that says
"The system software cannot be run correctly. Press the PS button to try to restart the system. If the system cannot be restarted, the system partition of the hard disc must be formatted and you must reinstall the system software. Insert storage media that contains update data of version 2.30 or later, and then press the START and SELECT buttons at the same time. For information on how to obtain update data, refer to the SCE Web site for your region."
With ethernet cable connected and on line, i tried pressing the PS button and also the START+SELECT buttons having no luck in formatting/updating.
My portable HDD is also plugged in with my system backup and game saves on it. It also has the 2.30 update on it, but i still get the same message.
What am i doing wrong?
